Although, I have a few things to point out.

I’m recently turned anti-national pride. In the words of George Carlin, “Pride should be reserved for something you achieve or attain on your own. Not something that happens by accident at birth.”

Your line, “If you live here, if you call this place home, you are Australian. If someone disagrees, they need to re-think what it means to be Australian” I think you’ve kinda shot yourself in the foot because an opinion of what it is to be “Australian” is going to differ, and your freedom of opinion vibe is countering that.

And not to blame it on the media (:P) but it kinda is their fault. I mean, advertisers and media do what they do to make better profits. They prime people in a certain way to think like drones. Once they’re thinking like drones…they perpetuate it. I mean, you say they show people what they want to see but what makes you think they want to see it? The media idolises people like Kanye West etc, making them look desirable; people want to be desirable and so they replicate that image.The media create the monsters they feed off. In my opinion the archaic education system needs to be revamped, and restructured so that people won’t be as susceptible to the bullshit the media puts out. That’s where the change needs to occur. I’d like to hear your thoughts on that because I didn’t feel your argument was very strong. Please reply to this point.

Your three points I think are mighty fine, however the first one is a slightly difficult task. Given hat many religious groups endeavour to convert the world. To avoid being hypocrtical I will call them out; Mormons, some Christian groups (not all), and many of the Muslim sects do. Until we can eradicate this need to convert the world…I’m afraid point one will be unfulfilled.

Your second point, to care, comes down quite heavily to responsibility. This is where education comes in. our current education system doesn’t fail children, it let’s them get away with such a load of crap because teachers have no power (I’m not referring to corporal punishment, I simply mean the teachers have no power of command over the derros this country produces) and once you’re out of school, there’s always the dole. So fuck it, why care? The point i’m trying to make is that our youth is raised to not care. They are programmed to know that they never have to pull their weight, and we need to change that.

Your third point is fabulous, but i think needs some rewording. Captain Kirk puts it quite well, “The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few.” But having respect for your fellow man is another way to put it. I think we don’t have enough respect for each
other.
