Apparently Original is done with the hype and is releasing there new freeride line up from next week with the 41inch with rocker concave being available first. I have top say i’m not holding my breath.

Some of you may find this interesting, Original plan to release these within the next 2 weeks, On the left we have the rocker and on the right tho options with W concave. I hit original up about acknowledging there ‘inspiration’ the posted the statement bellow up in response, What do you think? I just want to know if these will live up to the hype.

“Jonny certainly has a point.
There have been drop through decks made for years. First by small custom builders then much more famously by LY, Rayne, et al. Designing longboards is like making music.

There are a few instances where some one comes up with a completely different style of music all at once (the evo for instance), but mostly it is small advancements in originality that allow music to breathe, grow and follow the paths of the artists emotions ending up some place new and different. Every musician has musical influences (even the Kings of Leon, who would tell you they don’t).

That being the case, just changing the chords and the words doesn’t make your music original. We understand that and we know how much scrutiny the Freeride boards will be under given that this is a new style for us (based off of non-original trucks).

I have a 925, a vendetta, a killswitch, a dervish in my office for the specifically to MAKE SURE the boards come out different, and unique, when compared to those decks. While I had not seen an FSM in person until the bomb on Saturday, I am thankful to tell you that the Freerides are drastically different there as well.

The thing that keeps them different is our design goals which incorporate much more freestyle (as they always have) in addition to the higher speed freeride which we have gotten into of late.

I have those other boards to MAKE SURE those differences are aesthetically visible and not strictly internal (although there are plenty of internal differences as well). We are incredibly excited to see what the community thinks of these boards when they release (looking like next week at the moment). Thanks to everyone for the feedback.”
